Summary

The models currently available in Anna are generally out of date, and the platform does not yet offer the latest generation of frontier models. In particular, models such as GPT-5.6—which are designed for advanced reasoning, code generation, and long-context tasks—do not currently appear to be available in Anna.

This creates a noticeable gap for developers who already use the latest models on other platforms. It also reduces Anna’s value as a unified developer workspace.

Impact

For everyday development and agent-based workflows, the model version directly affects:

  • The quality of analysis and reasoning for complex problems;
  • The accuracy of code generation, refactoring, and debugging;
  • The ability to retain and use information across long-context tasks;
  • The reliability of tool use, task planning, and multi-step execution; and
  • Compatibility with new model capabilities and the broader third-party ecosystem.

When Anna’s model catalog consistently lags behind the release cadence of major APIs and model providers, developers may need to switch back and forth between Anna and other tools. This makes it difficult to use Anna as a single entry point for development work.

Suggestions

I hope the Anna team will consider the following improvements:

  1. Add and expose the latest frontier models as soon as possible, including GPT-5.6 and future models in the same capability tier.
  2. Establish a more timely model update process to reduce the delay between a model’s release and its availability in Anna.
  3. Clearly display model names, versions, release dates, and capability labels in the model selector so users can tell whether they are using the latest version.
  4. Provide clear information about each model’s context length, tool-use support, rate limits, and pricing.
  5. If a model is temporarily unavailable because of regional restrictions, quota limits, or compatibility issues, explain the reason in the UI and, if possible, provide an estimated support timeline.

Expected Outcome

I hope Anna can maintain a model catalog that keeps pace with the broader AI ecosystem and prioritizes the newest and most capable frontier models. This would allow developers to complete complex coding, research, and agent workflows directly in Anna, without switching to another platform because of outdated model support.
