I’ve been going through the “Set Up Your Agent” flow and have two small but impactful feedback points to improve the user experience:
Low visibility of the “I’ve downloaded the agent” button
The button to confirm I’ve downloaded the agent is currently styled with light text and a subtle border, making it easy to overlook next to the prominent orange “Download” button. This could lead to confusion for users who have already completed the download step, as they might not immediately see how to proceed to installation.
Request for automatic agent detection
It would be much more efficient if the system could automatically detect whether the Anna Agent is already installed and running on the user’s device. If the agent is detected as online, the setup flow should automatically skip the “Download Agent” and “Install Agent” steps, taking the user directly to the next relevant part of the process. This would eliminate unnecessary manual steps and create a smoother onboarding experience for returning users or those who have already completed the setup.
It is exactly this kind of detailed observation from users going through the setup flow that helps us identify and fix real UX pain points. Both of your suggestions are spot-on!
1. Button Visibility Issue
You are absolutely right – the “I have downloaded the agent” button should be much more prominent. This is a quick fix we can prioritize immediately. A low-contrast button next to a high-contrast download button creates exactly the confusion you described.
2. Auto-Detection for Installed Agent
This is an excellent suggestion! Automatically detecting whether the Agent is already installed and running would significantly streamline the onboarding experience, especially for returning users. This requires some additional development work, but it is definitely something we want to implement.
Next Steps:
I am forwarding both of these to our UI/UX and development teams right away. The button visibility fix should be relatively quick, and we will scope out the auto-detection feature for an upcoming sprint.
Thanks again for taking the time to share this feedback – it is invaluable for making Anna better! If you run into anything else or have more suggestions, please do not hesitate to post.
